What to wear for a spa day

It really doesn't matter what you wear as long as you're comfortable. At a day spa you'll usually get into your robe and slippers upon arrival, and only put your clothes back on when you leave.

What you should take along with you

Taking a book or magazine is a great way to help relax, or pass time whilst you're waiting for your treatment. Most good spa's have magazines/newspapers around the poolside, but take your favorite book just in case.

Day spa hygiene

Shower before you get into the pool/Jacuzzi, and shower/rinse after the steam room and saunas.

On the day

Aim to be ten or fifteen minutes early for your treatment, a good day spa will have a relaxation/waiting area that you call chill out in whilst waiting for your therapist.

Modesty

When you for your treatment, your therapist will guide you and let you know whether you need to undress, and how you need to position yourself on the table. They will leave the room to give you privacy whilst you get yourself organised.

Sometimes after your spa treatment you'll need to shower (if so your treatment room will be en-suite), sometimes you just get dressed. Either way, your therapist will tell you what's needed and leave the room again until you are finished (they will knock before re-entering).
